About Lara....

I grew up in Texas and started out as a painter at a local junior college. I eventually finished the art education program at the University of Maine. Using PMC (Precious Metal Clay) which is fired into fine silver - the artist and the metalworker in me can come together to create wearable art. Using mild steel I can make larger pieces using traditional blacksmith techniques. I seek to capture the essence and elegance of the wildlife that surrounds us on our esker in Maine.

Lara is a proud member of the Maine Crafts Association, ABANA (Artist Blacksmith's Association of North America) and the PMC Guild Chapter of Portland, Maine.
